FIND KNOWLEDGE | POWER SEARCH
KenCube's Power Search searches posts, documents, people and attachments across the entire platform and only shows what each person is allowed to read. Filters, synonyms and saved search sets lead to the right result quickly, even with large amounts of content.
Search across all content
- Titles, content, metadata and attachments in one search
- Suggestions while you type, tolerant of typos
- Results only from content with read access
- Features such as the org chart or phone list appear directly as results
- Compact search on smartphone and tablet, with a switch to AI Chat
In practice: An employee searches for travel expenses on her phone and makes a typo. The right form still appears at the top, with the policy as a PDF right below it.
Search options and filters
- Search in the title, the content or the attachments
- Whole words, word beginnings or exact upper and lower case
- Combine several terms with AND or OR
- Filter by post type, area, tags, author and time period
- "Without tags" filter for content that has not been tagged yet
- Search projects, cases and protocols specifically
In practice: The quality team looks for all work instructions from the past year tagged "Hygiene". With post type, tag and time period, only a short list remains. The "Without tags" filter also shows which instructions still need to be tagged.
Search sets and history
- Save frequent searches as a search set
- Favorites, shared and personal search sets
- Personal search history with the filters used at the time
- Pin important searches in the history
In practice: Every Monday, facility management opens the same search set with all new maintenance reports from the sites. Search term and filters are saved, so one click is enough.
Synonyms and analytics
- Custom synonyms, such as "expense report" and "travel expense claim"
- Glossary terms with their definition directly in the results
- Feedback on the search with thumbs up or down
- Pseudonymized search log for administrators
In practice: In the search log, administrators see that people often search for "vacation request" without any results. Internally, the form is called "leave notification". A synonym links the two terms, and the form now appears right away.
