Data Protection and Data Processing

Clear agreements under the GDPR

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR based on the template of the BfDI is part of the collaboration, as are documented technical and organizational measures (TOMs). This makes the data protection impact assessment (DPIA) and coordination with the works council or staff council easier.

The audit log records who changed permissions, accounts or settings. This helps with providing evidence and with regular permission reviews.

Network Security & Access Control

Protection for servers and network

A multi-layered security concept protects the servers and the application: firewalls, regular virus scans and continuous monitoring. An intrusion detection system (IDS) detects suspicious access attempts and blocks them automatically. On request, access can be restricted to defined networks or IP address ranges.

Within KenCube, permissions per area determine who can see and edit which content. Together with secure login and the audit log, this ensures that only the right people have access and that changes remain traceable.

Secure Login in Browser and App

Securing access, including on mobile devices

Login works via the KenCube login, via single sign-on with the existing identity provider, or both. The KenCube login can be secured with a second factor via an authenticator app. Biometric login is available in the KenCube app.

After several failed attempts, login is temporarily blocked. If a phone is lost, the administration can sign the account out on all devices.

Cyber Trust Label and AI from the EU

Verifiable security as a supplier

KenCube has been awarded the Cyber Trust Austria/Europe Label in Silver. The label attests to KenCube's cybersecurity as a supplier. This helps companies that need to secure their suppliers under NIS2.
