REACH EVERYONE | NOTIFICATIONS & READ RECEIPTS
Notifications make sure important information gets through, in KenCube, via push and via email. With read receipts, Breaking News and pop-up messages, especially important content can be highlighted in a targeted way.
Notifications and digest emails
- Bell icon with all notifications in one place, sorted by importance
- Push in the KenCube app and in the browser, even without the app
- Notifications by email, with a preview of the content
- Unread count shown in the browser tab
- Digest emails with new posts, comments and changes
- Choose channels and frequency in the personal settings
In practice: A service technician spends the whole week on the road visiting customers. He receives important announcements from his area instantly as push notifications in the app. Everything else is summarized in a digest email that he reads at his leisure in the evening.
Read receipts and Breaking News
- Request read receipts from individuals or groups
- Confirm with one click, pending read receipts listed under "My Tasks"
- New request with every new version of the post
- Request later, even in correction mode
- Overview of your own open and completed read receipts
- Breaking News with instant notification
In practice: After a near miss in the warehouse, the safety officer publishes a new work instruction as Breaking News, with a read receipt for everyone in the warehouse. She can see who has acknowledged the instruction and who has not yet.
Pop-ups and usage information
- Pop-up messages for short, one-time notices
- Provide privacy policy, terms of use, legal notice and contact details centrally
- Confirmation of this information before use, if required
- Always accessible under "Info & Help"
In practice: The company network is undergoing maintenance at the weekend. On Friday, a pop-up with the notice appears when KenCube is opened. Once closed, it is gone.
Info screens and crisis communication
- Content in 16:9 format on screens throughout the building
- Text, images and videos in a continuous loop, with a display duration per post
- Multiple info channels for sites or departments
- Crisis mode for when the regular sign-in fails
- Emergency passwords, stored in advance for each account
In practice: In the canteen, a screen shows the menu alternating with company news. During an IT security incident, IT switches on crisis mode. Everyone then receives information via KenCube, even though the regular sign-in is blocked.
Required modules
Info screens and crisis and emergency communication can be added as add-ons to the core modules.
